Extra activity organized for our students.

• ALMS GIVEN (NEW)

It is time to relax their mind and keep the rain refreshed by leaving text books away for a moment and directing their mind for a different direction. Normaly we organize few events each month. This will allow improvment of student's creativeness and planning.

This time it needed us to repair the back door of our hostel. Without calling for carpenter, the student decided that they should repair it themselves. As most of the required tools were available, it was not a hard job.

The work took some good time, but it made a good finishing to the door.

Then the students decided to use some wood flanks that used to kids play ground, but not more useful to them. So they removed the wood flanks and made some benches for individual students at their studies in the garden
Champika mesures the material before cutting.	She uses an electric hand sew for the first time in her life. Before the work starts, they had few trials and tested the maching and its cutting system.
Everybody look busy and hard working as it goes well.	Nilmini is taking sharp point to make a hole by using an electric drill for the first time in her life.
While Ishara hold the bench, Rasika drives a nail right in to the middle.	Nelka makes the ends smoothen by grinding sharp ends. It is her first experience to work with an electric grinder.
Making the final cheking to see the stability of the bench.	It looks ready and they fell satisfied with what they made.
Nelka is painting the Bench to make it more smooth and colorful. All prefer dark green color.	Nilmini is very proud to be the first one to use the bench.
