The YALA NATIONAL PARK museum is located at the entrance to the park. It has a great collection of information about the part and it's history. |

The kids had to enter the park with the same bus they arrived. So they did not get a chance to get out of the bus in the park. So they had to watch everything within the bus. |

Soon they arrived the other end of the park which bordered to the sea. It was a very beautiful area. |

Finally they got a chance get out of the bus to move around in the sand. It made they lot of fun and joy as well a break from a long journey. |

The birds of different varieties and sizes were a common seen. They were either local or foreign birds. Some are endemic to Sri Lanka. |

Then the kids arived a water path that alowed them to be refreshed by scorching sun. After that they had their lunch in the park and headed back to another location cold Kirinda. |

The great Statue of the Queen Wihara Mahadewi. The history says that some long years ago, Sri Lanka has had a experience of Tsunami and filled the land with water for longer period. The advisors of the king had informed the him that the only solution for this high tide water is to sacrifice the daughter of the king to the sea. Having no other options left, the king decided to make a boat and floated it to the sea with his bellowed daughter. The boat has landed in this region and the kind of this region has made her of his queen and the problem of water was ended. To commemorate this sacrification, the statue has being build. |

Afterwards they arrived the next destination, the Kataragama Hindu Temple. This is basically a place for Hindus, but the Buddhist and other envolvements are also evident since the ancient time. |

It is believed that the God Wishnu has owned this area. The Peokock has become the gods vehicle and the pilgrims honor this bird very much. |
